Hallmark

Before a workpiece leaves the house of Harjes, it is hallmarked with a punch designed by the company´s founder Friedrich Harjes.

The seal depicts (left in the picture on a positive presentation) a sail boat in the water in a ray of sunlight. This logo was created by Friedrich Harjes to mark the location of the original Harjes workshop in Lesum, by the river Lesum.

The punch used for the hallmark has a diameter of 10 millimetres, a sailing boat under the sun.
